A group of 26 first-year Technician Engineering students from Noorderpoort visited Groningen Airport Eelde during a work field excursion at the invitation of OmniDrones and DroneHub NNL.
The students were able to learn about drones and drone technology for the first time. They were also given an impressive demo, performed by Drone Delivery Services, in which a drone was flown at our airport. This education ties in nicely with Groningen Airport Eelde’s sustainable ambitions and the future of unmanned aviation.
A tour of the airport could not be missed. Students were introduced to sustainable developments such as electric flying, hydrogen developments and a look behind the scenes of the airport fire brigade.
